It is the inline check that each pack leaves the line physically correct: the label present and straight, the print clean and in register, the fill level right, the seal intact. A vision system inspects every pack as it runs and ejects the ones that fail.
Code and character reading covers what a code or label says: the date, the batch, the barcode, the artwork content.
