Jidoka Selected for the Google for Startups Accelerator: India 2026 Cohort
Jidoka Technologies joins the Google for Startups Accelerator: India 2026 cohort, one of 20 AI-first startups chosen from around 2,500 applications.
Jidoka Technologies has been selected for the 2026 class of the Google for Startups Accelerator: India. Google India announced the cohort on 8 July 2026.
Jidoka is one of 20 AI-first startups chosen from roughly 2,500 applications, and the company representing manufacturing in this year's group. Google's cohort listing describes Jidoka as building automated inspection and process guidance solutions for manufacturing through an AI-first computer vision platform. Those are the two capabilities Jidoka delivers commercially as KOMPASS for product inspection and NAGARE for process guidance.
The 2026 class marks the tenth anniversary of Google's accelerator programmes. The three-month programme is equity-free and gives participating companies access to the Google AI stack alongside technical and go-to-market mentorship. Google has framed that support around a specific gap, which is moving products past foundational engineering hurdles and into scaled deployment.
The selection criteria say something about where the ecosystem is heading. Google described this year's cohort as reflecting deepening technical maturity, with companies building agentic and multimodal systems aimed at high-stakes problems across climate, healthcare, finance, developer infrastructure and manufacturing. Physical AI, meaning systems that act on the world rather than only generate output, was named as a defining characteristic of the group.
That framing matches where vision inspection is being tested hardest. The pressure on a production inspection station is no longer detection accuracy in isolation. It is whether the station holds up across shifts, survives changeovers, integrates cleanly with existing controls, and earns enough operator trust to run continuously.
The programme opened with an in-person bootcamp at Google's Bengaluru campus. Over the three months that follow, the cohort works on product refinement, architecture review and preparation for scaled deployment.
Jidoka builds Vision AI systems for defect detection, sorting and classification, label and text recognition, assembly verification and digital work instruction, deployed across automotive, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, electronics, general manufacturing and logistics.
